ACA will be published by Medknow from 2008

• Annals of Cardiac Anaesthesia (ACA), a quarterly peer-reviewed journal, is the official journal of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists. The journal is indexed with PubMed/MEDLINE, IndMed and MedInd.
  
  The journal’s full text will be online at www.annals.in. With the aim of faster and better dissemination of knowledge, we will be publishing articles ‘Ahead of Print’ immediately on acceptance. In addition, the journal would allow free access (Open Access) to its contents. Authors do not have to pay for submission, processing or publication of articles in ACA.

Chemical Abstracts indexes two journals

• Hepatitis B Annual and Asian Journal of Transfusion Sciences have been included in Chemical Abstracts by the Chemical Abstracts Service.

New open access journal on pediatric cardiology being launched

• In the year 2008, Medknow would launch the peer-reviewed open access publication of the Pediatric Cardiology Society of India. The journal entitled ‘Annals of Pediatric Cardiology’ will be published 2 times (Semiannual) in a year and would be available online from www.pediatriccardio.org. Articles can be submitted from www.journalonweb.com/apc. Authors do not have to pay for submission, processing or publication of articles.

IJHG gets indexed with SCI-E and WoS

• Indian Journal of Human Genetics is now indexed with Web of Science and Science Citation Index Expanded. IJHG is an open access publication of Indian Society of Human Genetics and published 3 times in a year.
  
  The journal is the fourth journal from Medknow to be indexed with the Thomson Scientific’s databases in the last 2 months. Medknow now has 8 journals indexed with the Thomson Scientific’s databases. These journals were being published for a long time, but got indexed by Thomson Scientific and many other international bibliographic databases only recently. This clearly suggests that the better visibility and higher ‘research impact’ offered by the open access policy of these journals has helped to get the international recognitions
  

IJoY to be published from 2008

• International Journal of Yoga (IJoY) will be published from 2008. The journal's site (http://www.ijoy.org.in) provides access to articles published ahead of the print schedule. The first issue will be launched in December 2007.

Medical Law Cases for Doctors – a new journal

• Medknow would be launching first of its kind, innovative and informative reporter for doctors of all disciplines in India. ‘Medical Law Cases for Doctors’ being launched in December will report judgments, which directly or indirectly affect the medical practice, of various courts including consumer courts in India. Each judgment will be accompanied by a short summary of the case and suggested precautions for the medical fraternity to help improve the clinical practice. MLC will be a must read monthly magazine for every practitioner in India.

OAI access to journals' metadata from Medknow

• Medknow Publications is pleased to announce OAI compliant access to the metadata of all its journals based on the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).

CABI indexes four Medknow journals

• Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Indian Journal of Psychiatry, Indian Journal of Orthopaedics and The Journal of Indian Prosthodontic Society have been included in CAB Abstracts and Global Health.

Indian Journal of Cancer becomes official publication of ICON also

• Indian Journal of Cancer, official publication of the Indian Cancer Society and Indian Society of Oncology, now also becomes official organ of the Indian Co-operative Oncology Network (ICON). The journal would now also be distributed amongst 300+ members of ICON.
  
  

JCRT gets indexed with MEDLINE/PubMed

• Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics has been included into MEDLINE/PubMed by the National Library of Medicine, USA. The journal will be indexed from volume 1 and issue 1 and all articles published in JCRT so far would be indexed with PubMed.

Three journals included in CINAHL

• Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, International Journal of Diabetes in Developing Countries and Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine have been included by Cinahl Information Systems in CINAHL database and CUMULATIVE INDEX TO NURSING AND ALLIED HEALTH LITERATURE.

Three journals included in Science Citation Index / Science Citation Index Expanded

• Three more journals published by Medknow are now part of ISI’s Science Citation Index / Science Citation Index Expanded. These are
  
  Indian Journal of Pharmacology: included in SCI and Journal Citation Report. It is indexed from 2007 and would get official Impact Factor in 2010.
  
  Indian Journal of Ophthalmology and Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology: Included in SCI-E from the year 2008, both these journals would get official Impact Factor for the year 2010

JSMAG to be launched in 2008

• Journal of Sexual Medicine, Andrology & Gender, a new published from Ageing, Gender, Andrology & Sexual sciences Society of India (AGASSI) to be launched in 2008.

New journal on gynecological endoscopy from 2008

• Medknow would be publishing Journal of Gynecological Endoscopy and Surgery (JGES) a semi-annual peer-reviewed international journal under the auspices of Indian Association of Gynaecological Encoscopists. The journal’s website will be online at www.gynecendoscopy.org. With the aim of faster and better dissemination of knowledge, we will be publishing articles ‘Ahead of Print’ immediately on acceptance. In addition, the journal would allow free access (Open Access) to its contents without charging the authors / authors’ institutions for submission, processing or publishing of manuscripts.
  
  The journal will cover technical, clinical and bioengineering aspects of obstetric and gynecological endoscopy including endoscopic female sterilizations, as a part of maternal, child health and family welfare services and ethical and social issues. The Journal would publish peer-reviewed original research papers, case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and debates. The Journal is ready to accept submissions and articles for JGES can be submitted online from www.journalonweb.com/jges.

IJSTD goes open access

• From 2007 onwards, the Indian Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases will be published by Medknow and will be available online at www.ijstd.org. The journal is semiannual publication of Indian Association for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS.

African Journal of Pediatric Surgery will be published by Medknow

• African Journal of Paediatric Surgery (ISSN 0189-6725) a semiannual periodical, affiliated to Pan-African Paediatric Surgical Association and Association of Paediatric Surgeons of Nigeria, will be published by Medknow. The journal would continue to provide free access from www.afrjpaedsurg.org'.
  
  The journal publishes peer-reviewed original articles, case reports, letters to the editor, editorials, review articles, commentaries and special communications. It also serves as a medium for publicizing meetings and news relating to advances in Paediatric Surgery and child health within Africa and related regions of the world.

• The Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences (JHRS) a quarterly peer-reviewed international journal is being launched in January 2008 under the auspices of Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction. The journal will cover all aspects human reproduction including Andrology, Assisted conception, Endocrinology, Physiology and Pathology, Implantation, Preimplantation Diagnosis, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis, Embryology as well as Ethical, Legal and Social issues. The journal will publish peer-reviewed original research papers, case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and debates.
